In recent years cheerleading has grown rapidly and now has a massive following throughout the UK and Europe. Bracknell Twisters was established in September 2008 as a competitive cheerleading team within Bracknell Gymnastics Club, based in South East England.

The Club's premier team currently competes at level 3/4 in the junior age bracket with plans to add other teams in the near future, including youth teams.

The lead coach for cheerleading at Bracknell Gymnastics Club is Chris Bennett who is a highly qualified and experienced cheerleading and gymnastics coach.

Within a Gymmark accredited club, the Bracknell Twisters have access to the latest teaching methods and sport science knowledge, as well as resources such as tumble tracks, trampolines, over head rigs, video analysis and a wide range of quality mats.
