History
In 2006, three coaches from Bracknell Leisure Centre had the opportunity to
represent GBR at the European TeamGym Championships in the Czech Republic. Inspired
by this experience, the coaches formed Bracknell Gymnastics Club to share their
love for TeamGym with the children of Bracknell. Bracknell Gymnastics Club formed
in 2006 and since then has grown and progressed rapidly. With a focus on the
discipline of TeamGym, the club delivers its sport for all ethos for boys and
girls of all ages.
In the short time since its formation, the club has: qualified for and gained national titles at every British TeamGym Finals; hosted annual national and international competitions; become nationally recognised for expertise in coach spotting and floor performances; become the only club in the UK to have its own complete set of TeamGym competition equipment; coaches holding TeamGym positions regionally and nationally; established close links with Italy and Denmark; formed a charitable company.
