Congratulation to James Langley on passing his first level 3 technical module. He was put through his paces by High Performance Coach and assessor Matthew Hart from 1066 Gymnastics Academy. James is now qualified for double saltos with half outs on trampette, as well as multiple twisting single somersaults, somersault vault preps and twisting vaults. The next step for James will be the tumble and floor modules, and then the core Level 3 course scheduled for March. Level 3 is a big step but we have every confidence he is up to the task.

Trifftastic

Congratulations to Lewis Jones and Chris Bennett on becoming fully qualified triple salto (Triff) coaches in TeamGym today. The course was delivered by Jimmy Ekstedt from Sweden as this marks the first qualified coaches in the UK for this TeamGym skill. Bracknell gymnasts, Connor Wharram, Joe Torpey, James Langley and Charlie Dorrington did the club proud on the course.

At the end of the course, GB tumbling star Kristof Willerton dropped in to say hello.

New Year Coaching Exams

Congratulations to Sacha Tomkins on passing his General Gymnastics Level 2 qualification. Sacha coaches in the recreational classes at Bracknell Leisure Centre and also at our Satelite site at Sandhurst Sports Centre. Rachael Eldridge and Ellie Carlton also passed their General Gymnastics Level 1 qualifications and are scheduled for assignments at Bracknell Leisure Centre. Other successes today included Sarah Dearman passing her Level 1 logbook and Joe Torpey passing his TeamGym Level 2 practical exam. These young coaches have a very bright future.
